Brain Gym
The Brain Gym® program is based upon 26 simple movements that are used to help improve one’s ability to learn, process information, adapt to the surrounding world in a pleasant and effective way, and to discover or rediscover the joys of learning and the motivation needed to reach goals. It was created by Paul Dennison and was one of the first tools of Edu-kinesiology to be developed.
Edu-K is an educational approach that aims to help explore one’s own way of learning and to develop oneself. It focuses on the person’s own individual potential and uses the best teacher available: movement.
I believe the first step in any therapeutic work is to provide an empathetic, non-judgemental, warm, supportive environment. My priority is to offer and hold a space in which my clients feel safe and heard.
Qi-Touch Healing is a gentle way to harmonise our body and emotions and to maintain or restore health and strength through touch. The Qi is our life force, our vital energy, the subtle substance that invigorates the organs and runs along acupuncture lines.
There are many other beautiful and nurturing approaches: the sounds and vibrations of the Tibetans Bowls, specific exercises which help rewire the brain, The Bush Flowers essences, Qi-gong, the Five Tibetan Rites, The Physical Vascular Bemer Therapy, to name just a few of what might be use at move2balance to enrich and support your journey.
Move2balance is a private practice in Sydney that offers support in your journey towards wellbeing. Sessions integrate Psychotherapy and alternatives therapies, primarily Qi-Touch Healing, Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K) and Brain Gym.
As you can use a lot of exercises and techniques yourself, they empower you by providing opportunities to have a crucial role in your own learning and healing process, rather than depending upon others to “fix” you.
